Arrival in Moscow

The team arrived in Moscow, without incident, around 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon (Moscow time). We received our call at 5:30 am CST to check-in. Jeff's bags were searched by customs but he was cleared and both guys moved on. The boats made it off the plane in great shape and they made contact with Egor (pronounced YEA-gore). Egor was slowed down by traffic, Moscow has a lot of people, but he soon arrived. Arrangements had been made ahead of time for Egor to get stove fuel, a local phone and various other supplies. He came through with flying colors. The team had to get their VISAs registered and then they were off to the source of the Volga River. It is a 10 hour drive from Moscow. Have you done the math? They left Austin Friday April 11 at 1:00 p.m., drove 2 hours to Houston Intercontinental Airport, flew 11 hours, had a 9 hour time increase and then are driving 10 hours to the source. Yikes! I'm exhausted.
